Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain (SIE Spain), Mediapro Group and the production company 100 Balas announce the development of the videogame Flipy’s Tesla!, Let’s invent the future by Animatoon Studio. The title is the result of the collaboration of these three companies, leads and representatives in their sectors, within the support to videogame development programme that Sony Interactive Entertainment has in Spain.

Flipy’s Tesla!, Let’s invent the future is a passionate game for PlayStation®VR that stimulates the curiosity of the players and approaches scientific knowledge through a graphic adventure based on the immersive experience. The title counts with the scientific advice of Javier Santaolalla, Doctor in Particle Physics, researcher at CERN and Science Communicator, and is supported by CREATIONS, innovative education project financed by the European Comission, with the purpose of establishing new educational activities in the classrooms, that bring together Science and Art to enhance creativity in learning Science. The remarkable spanish team of Animatoon Studio will be responsible of the art and development of the videogame. Flipy’s Tesla!, Let’s invent the future has barely one month of development so far, but it will be released this year exclusively for PlayStation®VR.

Next 28th of June, Darío Ávalos, CEO of Animatoon Studio, will reveal the first details of Flipy’s Tesla!, Let’s invent the future in the area that PlayStation®Talents will have at Gamelab Barcelona. In this international videogames and interactive entertainment congress, we’ll have a first approach to the project. The professionals and visitors will be able to experience what the game is about thanks to a game demo, in which they’ll be able to carry out one of the experiments included in this graphic adventure.

Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain, through its programme Playstation®Talents, continues demonstrating its support to spanish videogames development and highlights its interest to those games which explore the possibilities VR technology offers.

Mediapro Group, european lead in content creation, has already developed Virtual Reality projects for museum spaces, experience which they now want to integrate into videogame contents.

On their behalf, 100 Balas, audiovisual production company behind titles such as Chiringuito de Pepe, Olmos y Robles or, most recently, eSports Generation, makes the leap to Science communication thanks to this project, whose original idea responds to the compromise of its Content Director, Flipy, with the purpose of arising curiosity over the different scientific disciplines through experimenting.

Lastly, Animatoon Studio, founded in 2012 by Darío Ávalos, spanish studio specialized in animation and game development, won the Playstation Awards Spain of 2014 for the best game of that year with its outsanding project Dogchild.
